A year is Light Rain, Heavy Rain, Early Dry, Harsh Dry — 28 days each. Then Light Rain returns. Birthdays and festival days sit on this grid. Events covers what to do on a festival week: read mail first, keep one gift slot if a birthday lands in the same week, and do not expect to plant watermelon in month 1. Salmon Festival is month 1 days 25–27. Mushroom Festival sits mid month 2, with a match day on the 18th. Long Night Festival in Harsh Dry is a week of lanterns, firecrackers, cleaning, worship, gifts, and new year.
