The drone is the gun. You are the feet.

How to Beat Enemies and Boss Rooms

How to beat Doloc Town 1.0 combat: drone auto-fire, guild Chameleon Bug hunts, Wetland Vessel, Old City Guardian, and why battery is not your energy bar.

Updated August 2026

Combat in Doloc Town is a drone fight, not a sword fight. Cal at the engineering hangar hands you a Worn-Out Drone and a Simple Launcher. Practice at the Range. The guild wants five Chameleon Bugs in Doloc Rivervalley. Left click fires. Right click locks in the common 1.0 layout. Space dodges. R or middle mouse toggles auto-fire. Auto-aim in settings is not auto-fire — you can have help and still choose every shot.

Combat covers slots, battery, and new-room habits. The drone tier list is which weapon to socket. Drone loadout compares the numbers. The drone spends battery, not the 320 energy bar. Fainting still sends you home at 60 percent health and energy.

First hunt — Rivervalley

Manual fire in a new room. Passive Chameleon Bugs swarm if the drone shoots first. Clear, then auto. Bring an empty backpack — ten slots fill after one valley trip, which is why Hult’s 500 gold upgrade is the real first boss. The Seed Carrier is 200 HP and drops starter seeds; it is loud. Type-33 drops parts. Leave when slots are full; Treaty Port does not spend the clock. Walkthrough places this biome before Wetland on purpose.

Wetland and Old City

Wetland adds Acidic Chameleon Bugs, bombers, and a 1,000 HP Autonomous Vessel. Acid is the point; read How to protect before you treat the annex like a greenhouse. Old City Ruins is the 1.0 end region: radiation bugs, Type-99, CleanBot, CCTV Guards, Traffic Enforcers, and the 3,000 HP Guardian. Packaged ore crates replace hillside nodes. Bring a flying-target plan and a radiation bracelet whose text actually says immunity. Map: Old City is the street page; this page is the fight.

What to socket

Socket a weapon, a frame, an engine, an assist. The drone tier list is the ten-second pick. Do not confuse farm station bots on Automation with the combat drone. Auto-Harvest Chamber is an assist that happens to snip plants. If the drone holsters, it is battery or a door, not a missing skill. Controls lists the binds.

HP and battery

EnemyHPWhere
Seed Carrier 200 Doloc Rivervalley
Type-99 600 Old City Ruins
Autonomous Vessel 1,000 Wetland
Old City "Guardian" 3,000 Old City Ruins

Frames run 100 to 400 battery. Worn-Out regen is 0.5. Faint returns at 60 percent HP and energy. Ten slots fill after one valley trip. Monsters lists HP and drops. Where to farm lists the room. Chameleon Bugs stay in Doloc Rivervalley combat rooms.

Frequently asked questions

Can I skip drone combat?

You can sneak some rooms. The guild hunt is not skippable if you want that unlock. Old City assumes a drone that can hit air.

Why does auto-fire wipe a room of passive bugs?

They aggro when the drone shoots first. Manual in new rooms.

Is the Guardian required for the story?

Old City is where the Eden questions resolve. Bring battery and a radiation plan.

Does fishing count as beating content?

Collection, not combat. Salmon is a calendar gate, not a boss HP bar. Use fishing.

Why did the drone stop mid-boss?

Battery. Worn-Out regen is 0.5. Landing to change a chip is faster than dying on 0 power.

Is Ridge Valley a boss biome?

No. Sibling wild for bees and fungus. Rivervalley is the first dungeon exam.
